Segun Adebutu
Segun Adebutu is a Nigerian visionary, business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He is the Chairperson and founder of the Romulus Group.
He started trading in oil and gas in 2004 as a peddler with trucks. At present, Segun serves on the board of various blue-chip companies as Chairman and Director, including Oladiran Engineering and Trade Nigeria Limited and Petrolex Oil Gas Limited.
He has dedicated his extensive knowledge of the industry towards its development, playing a huge role in its advancement, the most notable being his investment in a Mega Oil City which will house the second largest refinery & largest petroleum product depot in Africa.
He is the Chairman of Bluebridge Marine, Oladiran Agro-Allied Company and Baseline Records, a music record label. Adebutu is also the Executive Director and a member of the Board of Premier Lotto Nigeria Limited.
Tim Tokun
Tim has, over the past 19 years, participated in a global pipeline of development and production projects across 14 countries on 3 continents. This journey has been with publicly-listed, privately-held and vertically-integrated companies as well as foreign governments.
In addition, Tim sits on the board of 5 Exploration companies and 1 drilling services contractor and has advisory role with 3 publicly listed Juniors operating in the battery metals space in East and West Africa.
Tim’s range of technical lead encompasses discovery of mineralization on greenfields through to commercial and sustainable production. His focus has been on precious metals, battery metals and energy metals.
Femi Oladehin
Femi is a Chartered Accountant with 30+ years of experience across Africa. He is a respected investment banker across West Africa with extensive years of expertise in economic research, portfolio management, financial advisory, private equity, and project corporate finance.
He joins the Romulus Group as Group Chief Executive Officer from Argentil Capital Partners where he spent 10 years as Senior Partner, Investment Banking and helped build Argentil into one of West Africa’s premier Energy Infrastructure investment banks. In the last 10 years, Femi has raised over $5 billion in capital from local and international sources for a wide range of clients including some of the largest indigenous conglomerates in the sub-continent.
Prior to joining Argentil, Femi led one of Nigeria’s largest investment banking groups – 3GL Capital Limited as MD/CEO and was responsible for building the largest Debt and Equity Capital Markets capacity within the country. His term as leader of this team saw the execution of some of the largest sub-national debt issuances in the Nigerian Capital Market.
Brian Briggs
Sixth generation Mining Engineer with an accomplished background in Executive and Mine Level Management with a strong emphasis on pre-operational development and ESG compliance including feasibility studies, project funding, environmental permitting and governmental negotiation for both underground and surface mines in the US, Canada, and Africa.
He has worked for major mining companies such as Shell Mining and Rio Tinto and numerous private and public junior mining companies holding positions such as Mining Engineer, Environmental Engineer, Chief Engineer, V.P Technical Services, Mine Manager, President and CEO during the course of his career.
Brian has extensive practical experience in developing Gold, Cobalt, Silver, coal and iron ore. Brian possesses a high degree of skill in resource development from pre-feasibility Stage into design, construction, and operations. This includes rehabilitating historic mining properties or advancing late-stage exploration projects into producers.
Brian Rudvizio
Brian has over sixteen years of hands-on mining and exploration experience in Africa covering a wide range of deposit types and commodities. Brian is well experienced and exposed to the Archean greenstone belt gold, PGEs, base metals, pegmatite and industrial (carbonatites) mineral deposits of Zimbabwe and South Africa, both in mining and exploration.
He has worked in exploration and mining of various minerals and mineral deposit types in igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic terrains in southern, central and east Africa.
Brian is experienced in production of technical reports for the company, joint venture partners and government bodies.
Nicholas Rhodes
Nicholas is an experienced finance professional with twelve years of investment banking and financial advisory experience, specializing in natural resources. He has led and supported transactions valued at over $5 billion throughout his career.
Nicholas has advised several clients within West Africa and internationally on various corporate affairs and technical matters, particularly in the natural resources sector. He is also involved in several ventures in the natural resources space, including mining exploration and development, and agricultural developments.
Nicholas was a founding member of the energy and natural resources team at Stifel’s European Investment Banking arm and helped establish it as one of London’s leading natural resources teams. Currently, he manages his own financial advisory and investment business, providing businesses with advisory services including M&A, strategic advisory and across private and public equity and debt capital markets. Nicholas has an extensive global industry network, with established relationships with major corporates and institutions.
